Steve Pearce Rehabs In Frederick

Steve Pearce is the first Baltimore to rehab with the Frederick Keys this season. He has been out since June 21 with sore wrists. He plans to play all three games of this home stand against the Lynchburg Hillcats and will bat second and play first base in tonight’s lineup. In other transactions news, Keys catcher, Zane Chavez, has been activated from the disabled list and will bat fourth as the designated hitter in tonight’s lineup. He was placed on the DL on June 14 due to an oblique strain.

*The Keys went 16 innings against the Salem Red Sox on Friday night.  Thanks to Michael Ohlman, the Keys finished their road trip with a win.

On their last road trip, the Keys went .500 winning three of their six games.  The final game against Salem was postponed due to rain. The Keys face the Hillcats at home tonight at 7pm.

Ryan Minor’s lineup for tonight’s game

Jason Esposito has been a silent killer for the Keys in the month of July. He is batting .312 this month with four doubles and 17 RBIs in addition playing both corners of the diamond. He will bat in the sixth position tonight where is hitting .299 with two home runs and 16 RBIs this season.

Wager

Brady Wager is set to start in tonight’s game against the Lynchburg Hillcats.  Wager is 2-4 this season with a 4.86 ERA.  He has lost all four of his home starts this season.

*Tim Murray also sat down with Lex Rutledge on July 25, just a day after he was promoted from Class-A Delmarva.
