Keys No-Hit At Home
The Keys hosted the Salem Red Sox for the first game of a four game series. Sadly, it was not exactly the start they were looking for.[tweet https://twitter.com/salemredsox/status/357680801640501248]
The Sox held the Keys to no hits and no runs in all nine innings. In fact, Frederick had seven base runners during the game off of three errors and five walks. This is the first time that Frederick has been no-hit since August 7, 2002.
*The Keys have been off to a rough start here in the second half of the season. They are currently 10-15 and have lost seven of their last ten.
Johnny Ruttiger, who usually leads off for the Keys, has batted just twice in the second spot of the lineup this season and is batting one-for-two. Michael Ohlman, the Keys hottest hitter, is batting.304 in 92 bats batting third this season. He has been nothing but consistent batting .398 in the second half of the season with seven homers and 23 RBIs.
Zach Davies will get the call tonight for the Keys. He is currently 5-3 with a 3.35 ERA in 17 starts. He is just 1-0 in the second half of the season in four starts. He will be facing off against Salem’s Miguel Pena who is 4-4 this season with a 5.57 ERA.
