Sunday Funday: Split Series, Game Three
Last night, the Keys pulled off a big win, 13-6, completely pummeling Myrtle Beach’s first three pitchers. Frederick scored nine runs in the first three innings thanks in part to Allan de San Miguel’s and Michael Ohlman’s two-run homers.

Keys’ starter, Tim Berry, improved to 5-4 this season after only giving up two runs and six hits in six innings pitched. The Pelicans scored four runs off of Matt Price in the top of the ninth inning, but that was not nearly enough to mount a comeback against last night’s killer Keys’ offense.
The Keys are looking tonight to take two of three games in this series from the Pelicans. Myrtle Beach won the first game, 7-3, but after last night’s victory, the momentum is in favor of Frederick.
Brady Wager will start tonight for just his third time this season. In his first two starts, Wager faced Potomac and gave up a total of eleven runs on eight innings pitched.

*One of our very own Keys’ staff members, Wayne Buckingham, got recognized in the Frederick News-Post today for his charisma and work ethic as the guest clubhouse attendant. His story is heart warming and provides a great look into how much he does for this ball club. You can read the story here. Frederick’s General Manager, Dave Ziedelis, says that Buckingham has a spirit that is unmatched by anyone in the league.
“Wayne is very respected in the (Carolina) league by the visiting teams. He is very accommodating, assists the umpires and has a very good demeanor.”
